Why NOT a Mini??
Ever thought about booking a mini session but hesitated? You’re not alone!
There are plenty of reasons moms think minis aren’t for them — you’re worried it’ll feel rushed, your kids won’t cooperate in time, you won’t get enough variety...
But here’s the thing: mini sessions are designed to be quick, easy, and fun while still giving you gorgeous, high-quality images.
Let’s bust some of the biggest myths that might be holding you back!
Myth 1 - "Less Expensive = Less Quality"
💡 Reality: Minis might be budget-friendly, but that doesn’t mean they’re "cheap". You’re still getting professional photos — just in a shorter, more streamlined experience.
Think of it this way: a full session is like a five-course meal, while a mini session is like a bunch of tasty apps — same amazing quality, just in a way that fits your schedule and budget.
Myth #2 - "It's Too Rushed"
💡 Reality: Mini sessions may be short, but they’re EFFICIENT, not rushed! I know exactly how to get amazing shots fast — with great lighting, relaxed posing, and a few photographer tricks up my sleeve.
Kids don’t need to sit still forever (let’s be real, they won’t). We get in, have fun, capture some beautiful moments, and you’re done before anyone has time for a meltdown.
Even your husband can handle 15 min : )
Myth #3 - "My Kids Won't Cooperate"
💡 Reality: Trust me — NO kid shows up and poses perfectly for the camera, and that’s totally okay! All of my sessions (including minis) are designed to capture real moments — giggles, playfulness, and all the silly in-between stuff that makes your family your family.
Often, mini sessions are hosted at a fun location or have an interactive element that keep the kids involved and HAPPY.
Plus, I have plenty of tricks to get genuine smiles, even from the most wiggly kiddos. And since the session is quick, we wrap up before they lose interest.
Myth #4 - "It Won't Feel Personal"
💡 Reality: Just because minis are short doesn’t mean they’re stale nor cookie-cutter! The location and theme are all chosen to highlight your family (or your child).
Even the "simplest of sessions" leave room for us to focus on personality — no stiff, awkward poses.
Just real, joyful moments.
Myth #5 - "We Need More Variety"
💡 Reality: You’d be surprised how many great shots we get in 15-20 min! You’ll walk away with a well-rounded mix of family, sibling, and individual portraits — plus some fun, candid moments.
And if you love variety, booking multiple minis throughout the year gives you different looks (and a mix of locations) without the commitment of a full session. Win-win!
